Hypnotherapy derives its name from the Greek God of sleep Hypnos.

Hypnotherapy is a way of focusing your attention which results in a state we call trance. Trance and hypnosis work on your normal everyday conscious mind and to a far greater extent your sub-conscious or unconscious mind to effect long lasting and ecological changes.

This altered state of consciousness or trance is different for everyone and some common experiences are deep relaxation, peacefulness and enhanced reception of the senses.

Hypnotherapy Trances may be thought of as lucid dreaming but with a definite purpose. You are always in control as well as open to new beneficial possibilities and wonderful learning.
